Can the percolator be used on an induction cook top?
Most COLETTI percolators use 18/8 stainless steel, which lacks the magnetic properties needed for standard induction cooktops. However, the Bozeman Induction model features an induction-ready base that works on induction, campfires, and gas burners alike. For comparison of all brewing methods, see our best camping coffee percolator guide.

COLETTI is veteran-owned and based in Sutter Creek, California. Our percolators are designed in the U.S. and manufactured in Jiangmen City, China, using premium 18/8 stainless steel.
How many ounces of coffee do the 9 and 12-cup percolators actually make?
Using the industry standard of 5 ounces per cup, the 9-cup model makes 45oz, and the 12-cup model makes 60oz. This applies to all sizes. See our guide to brewing ratios for exact measurements.
Is the wooden handle safe for use over a campfire?
Rosewood is naturally flame-resistant, but prolonged direct flame exposure will cause charring. Many experienced campers wrap the handle in aluminum foil as a simple precaution. For detailed brewing techniques, check out our guide to making percolator coffee on a campfire.
Will this percolator work to make just a half pot of coffee?
Absolutely. In fact, it perks faster since less water requires less time to boil. Fill to your desired level and adjust your brewing time accordingly.
Where do I buy replacement parts?
Glass top replacements are available in our online store. For other parts (stems, basket valves, handles), contact support@coletticoffee.com or call 1-866-798-4492 — we'll help you find what you need.
How do I wash my percolator? Is it dishwasher safe?

How do you brew the best cup of coffee in the percolator?
The fundamentals: add water to the spout opening, use a medium-to-coarse grind, and follow a 1:1 ratio of tablespoons of grounds to cups (9 grounds : 9 cups). After water reaches a boil and visible percolation begins, let it perk for 4–7 minutes. For detailed step-by-step instructions, see our how to make percolator coffee guide.
